BREAKING: Two dead after Auckland CBD shooting contained, offender also dead

Auckland CBD has been sent into lockdown after a shooting incident leaving 3 critical and another 3 in a moderate hospitalisation condition.

Speaking to local media, a construction worker said two people armed with shotguns entered their high-rise construction site. Some managed to flee from the basement while others made it onto the rooftop level.

The two surrounding blocks were placed into lockdown, including the Women’s Norwegian Football team, who are due to play the opening match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup tonight in Auckland. Also surrounding the area is the live site where fans can watch the game, the FIFA officials and the Philippians team.
