A man has been taken into custody by Tasmania Police after human remains believed to be missing 14 year old girl Shyanne-Lee Tatnell were found earlier yeaterday on a bush track near Nabowla, just north of Launceston in Tasmania. Shyanne has been missing since the end of April; almost three months to the day.
The remains are undergoing forensic testing and are awaiting confirmation, believed to be in the next week.
Northern Districts commissioner Kate Chambers said Tasmania Police were working tightly with the young girl's family.
"As I have said previously, we will not rest until we have answers. The latest development is hopefully another step toward having those answers. Commission Chambers said earlier.
