Drag Racing Driver DIES after Saturday Night Ends In Tragedy

A driver of a drag racing car has been confirmed dead by Queensland Police after a crash involving a camera operator. Just seconds into the race, the car can be seen ploughing into a camera tower at a busy Willowbank Raceway full of families on a busy Saturday night. The camera operator has been transported to the Princess Alexandra hospital in Brisbane with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash occurred around 7pm with Champions Road surrounding the racetrack closed as forensics investigate and police ask the public to avoid the area.
