The 26 year-old was reinstated after Cameron Green's injury at the Boxing Day test - his last test match was five years ago. Newscorp is reporting that Renshaw asked the team doctor for hayfever tablets after the toss, which resulted in a positve RAT being undertaken.

The Aussies are 1/138 on Day 1 with rain halting play, Queenslanders Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschange are building a solid partnership both surpassing 50 before lunch. Renshaw will step to the crease batting six behind Travis Head and in front of wicketkeeper Alex Carey. Australia also named Ashton Agar into the XI with Mitchell Starc also out with an injury.
